There weren’t many changes in savings account rates this week. Most rate changes were on CD rates, and unfortunately, some of the best rates tended to fall. The rate of World Savings’ 10-month internet CD fell from 5.51% to 5.46% APY. Pentagon Federal Credit Union updated its CD rates on Thursday. The 7-year CD rate is down from 6% to 5.50% APY, and the 5-year CD rate fell from 5.74% to 5.50% APY

Capital One’s New Costco Money Market Promotion

Capital One is now offering a $50 bonus when Costco Executive Members open their first Money Market Account with a minimum of $5,000 within the first 30 days. This use to be a $25 bonus.
